- Krzysztof has been working to unravel hacks in the prompt prototype system
- currently, prototype is using the COSMOS ap_verify dataset–limited size is making it hard
- trying to make an expanded dataset in ap_verify format–not clear if it gets too big for CI
- we said Krzysztof should just make what he needs for testing, we'll figure out if it makes sense to push to Jenkins later
- Precursor processing (Meredith Rawls, Kenneth Herner ):
- Ken: running diffim sprint dataset with new diffim
- convolve science blows up: a few visits look fine, but some visits show tons of structure on patch boundaries
- Ian thinks this is just due to the underestimated variances at the patch boundaries
- it's also weird because the mid-third seeing templates in some cases are better–so we may be getting deconvolution
- the middle third templates are reporting the same psf width as the best soruce
- Ian points out you can load the template in the butler and look at the coaddInputs
- so going back to try to figure out if the templates are being built as expected, which might be causing problems with the comparison
- Ian also wonders if there are some scaleVariance problems as well
