- See material from Simon Krughoff here: https://github.com/lsst-dm/dmtn-085/pull/2/files#diff-3d8bd2c99a8702d5beb4bb35b913ae76R60
- We agreed to recommend the PyViz framework for visualization.
- This comes in three parts:
- We simply provide documentation with a link to PyViz and a suggestion that people use it.
- We will issue a recommendation that there be an LDF-provided DASK service.
- We will issue a recommendation that there be some documentation describing how to most effectively integrated PyViz tools with standard LSST frameworks (the Butler, etc).
- We were broadly agreed that the recommendations can be fairly specific: the consensus seems to be that DASK is the tool of choice, so we can explicitly recommend that rather than making a more general, technology-agnostic statement.
- But of course we will not dictate implementation details.
- Lauren MacArthur has been collaborating with Unknown User (tmorton) on putting together wording for this, and will issue a PR shortly.
