Update on CONUS Networks

CONUS Networks, including ESnet:

  • ESnet:  Some modest tweaking of LHN peering with SLAC performed.
  • FIU:  Colo space in ATL (180 Peachtree) to be available in March.  100GE wave from JAX to ATL also scheduled for delivery in March.  Expect to start commissioning of Ampath OXP in April.  Spectrum from Boca to ATL also scheduled for delivery in April.

Chilean/International Networks Update

Developments in La Serena and end-to-end service to NCSA for upcoming Auxiliary Telescope Traffic and general (internet, mail, voice) traffic

  • Rubin: Migration away from Cisco ACI completed (a necessary precursor to network validation testing).  New network prefixes provided to USDF.
  • Reuna: Nothing new to report.
  • AmLight:  Option 2 for Huawei bypass 100GE service between PA and SP is on schedule for March delivery.

USDF - CC-IN2P3 Networks update

USDF - CC- IN2P3 network:

  • SLAC:  Fine tuning done on route advertisements in line with new network prefixes from VRO.  Construction under way on USDF computing infrastructure.  Several electrical incidents have slowed things down a bit.  Preliminary staging proceeding in parallel in existing computer room(s).  
  • GEANT:  Newest version of GEANT fiber infrastructure (GN4) is in place and stable.  Ready to perform throughput tests when USDF is ready.
  • RENETAR/IN2P3:  100GE link for LSST in progress.
  • UK:  Nothing new to report
