Regrets

Agenda:

  1. Passing q-graph node uuids to Panda/iDDS (DM-34915)
  2. Rubin site env. doc, have we finalized it?
  3. Panda submission to DFs
  4. Panda service installation at USDF
  5. AOB

Notes:

  1. Bug fix to allow DC2 to continue. Back to test the 4000 character issue
    1. Now that we are trying the path of generating q-graph at remote DFs, this should eventually be documented in DMTN-213
    2. An diagram for this already exists. Suggested to create a new branch of DMTN-213 with this diagram, and ask for a review (Wei)
  2. Rubin site env: Testing at FrDF and UKDF. After that will generate a pull request to the Panda doc.
  3. Panda submission to DFs:
    1. HTCondor 10.x solved the problem of losing track with ARC CE for some failed jobs.
    2. Should re-pickup the Rubin "Hammer Cloud" discussion (PREOPS-1270)
  4. How does IDF users submit Panda jobs to USDF?
    1. In discussion elsewhere, especially with regards to storage and butler related issues.
    2. Number of users a limited. Panda client related env. setup is included in LSST software.
    3. IDF/cloud users authenticate to Panda IAM. Can SLAC S3DF Dex work with Indigo IAM (it keeps on crashing Indigo), or can Dex present itself via CiLogon?
  5. Panda service Installation at USDF
    1. Can submit jobs to all DFs. Harvester component using HTCondor 10.x
    2. CERN instance ran into isssue when CERN updated ActiveMQ (Panda-doma at CERN uses that services)
    3. At USDF, Panda has its own ActiveMQ. Note that Rucio will also likely to have its own ActiveMQ.
  6. Peter Love mentioned that questions in xrootd-l mailing lists are not show stoppers.
