Background: 

During PDAC meeting on June 29, 2017, we discussed the goal to deploy a full PDAC at IN2P3 by the end of 2017. IN2P3 already transferred about 50% of HSC data to n their site. It would be very nice to have the data accessible through a PDAC-like environment at IN2P3, working out the integration issues during the process.

Steps to reach the goal: 

  1. Generic Firefly deployment at IN2P3 for developers and scientist to get familiar with the Firefly, its JavaScript API, Python API, and some Jupyter widgets.
  2. SUIT group is working on a Docker deployment for PDAC UI. Once it is ready, IN2P3 could deploy it first. The access to DAX service is available through VPN. 
  3. The Qserv and DAX service deployment at IN2P3 when SLAC is ready to provide the deployment instructions. 
  4. Full integration of PDAC at IN2P3.

    Please keep me in the loop. I am interested in doing a JupyterLab deployment close to Qserv if there is a kubernetes platform available. I can be ready any time if there is any interest from our IN2P3 colleagues.
