| Simon | - Catching up with Catalogs, code reviews that have been sitting on desk since before All-Hands
- Started looking at the phoSim calibrations that John has provided. The flats that phoSim produces have crazy blotchy patterns.
- Robert: We shouldn't have to average down the flat seeing to get rid of the instrumental effects found only in phoSim.
- Simon will be using DM software to characterize these effects and he'll probably also be asking for help from people in DM.
- Robert: There is no question that DM is happy to help characterize problems in phoSim in the same way that ?May? is finding problems in the background level which are non-physical and they need to get fixed.
- What venue should be used?
- Robert: Confluence Questions should be used to document useful facts (How-To) not for bug reporting. Create a JIRA ticket and ensure that the relevant DM folks are assigned as Watchers.

| Jacek | - Jacek is doing prepwork for Winter15 because some of the tasks defined are brand new, such as: image and file archive, or global catalog, or cutout service, so Jacek would like to better understand the scope – what it really is and to plan for it.
- Jacek is also doing various small cleanups in JIRA epics, stories.
- He's also responding to various support letters requested.
- Jacek reminds Robert that he is eagerly waiting for comments on the new logging package.
- Robert: that was one of the things that got destroyed by the water poured onto his laptop.
- Jacek: one thing his group learned this week: there will be some issues with thread safety. They realize that certain macros are not thread safe - so the team will be looking into it. But they don't want to complicate the macros too much.
- Robert: "So I should assume that everything will be made thread safe that can be made thread safe, if we use this interface?"
- Jacek: "We would like to make it thread safe but the current version is not completely thread safe."
- Robert: "That's just an implementation issue. If I sign off on this, then I should assume this is thread safe code or you will make it so?"
- Jacek: "Yes."
- Robert: "So I will review it as if it were thread safe."
- Jacek: "Yes, eventually we will have to make it thread safe."

| Robert | - Robert is looking forward to finding out what Jim-kun signed him up to do while he (Robert) was away.
- Robert also wants to know what's happening with the Summer15 planning. He really wanted to know what we decided on. He thinks, from reading the traffic, that we have decided on at least counting things in perfect days of 2 story points each.

| Frossie | - They've finished interviewing for the DevOps position and she hopes they can get a letter out today. Wrt the science position, she's waiting for Robert to extract 12 reference letters from HR. If he does that, he's a star.
