Notes

Unknown User (aguyonnet) —

  • Review in from Eli. Looks like the paper is finally converging.
    • Should go to internal review ASAP.
    • John Swinbank will push for this as soon as it gets in.
  • Checked for MERRA upload software on other operating systems; needs more work on a Linux system.
    • Planned for this week.
  • Preparing a Gantt chart for his proposal.

Merlin Fisher-Levine —

  • Attended the PCW.
  • RHL on board with the Spectractor plan.
  • Now hoping to have an extracted spectrum from Spectractor by the end of the week; should review that next week.
  • We note that RHL will be running “CAP” commissioning meetings on Tuesdays.
  • Merlin will write some words re a statement of work for AuxTel end-to-end integration activities.
    • Writing down the “Stubbs spiral development process”.
    • Identifying the success criteria.
    • Identifying the first step.
  • ...this make take some effort which means he doesn't hit the Spectractor goal, which is fine.

Andrés Alejandro Plazas Malagón —

  • Had useful discussion with Eric Charles and Pierre Antilogous lat week.
  • Will calculate PTCs with AuxTel data and the “basic” PTC code.
    • Needs to ticket this...!
  • What is the aim of the PTC game:
    • Produce a linearity model that is “extremely accurate” (Merlin Fisher-Levine)
    • Success: run the PTC code, generate a linearity model, re-run PTC code, should get a straight PTC.
  • Speaks to building the linearity model as a priority.
  • And ask Merlin Fisher-Levine to find a dataset of flats which is “good enough”.
    • One answer to this is that Craig Lage has this data already.
    • Merlin Fisher-Levine will get Craig to rsync the data to lsst-dev.
  • There are two ways of linearizing in the stack at the moment; Merlin doesn't know the detail of either of them.
  • Merlin Fisher-Levine to file a ticket describing changes to outputting linearity model from the basic task.
  • Priorities:
    • Rebase basic PTC (John Swinbank )
    • Get the basic PTC through code review and merged.
    • Work the new ticket filed by Merlin when it becomes available.
    • In any spare time, work on the Pierre^2 PTC code.
