Notes

Merlin Fisher-Levine —

  • Nothing further to discuss from the DESC PCWG meeting; we'll have a management discussion later.
    • Relating to how to use Spectractor in the LSST stack.
    • Very productive discussion with Jeremy Neveau.

Unknown User (aguyonnet) —

  • “That was the best PCWG workshop”; useful collaborations.
  • Discussed his paper with Eli Rykoff (internal reviewer) still waiting for review.
    • Hoping to discuss comparisons with HSC and DES using Eli as a source of expertise (for another paper).
    • Will sync with Eli & Robert Luptonat this week's DESC meeting.
  • Interesting report from the PSF Task Force at the PCWG meeting.
    • Interesting to compare Augustin's MERRA-2 wind data with their results on PSF as a function of wind.
    • Currently puzzled about why the MERRA-2 wind speeds always seem very low.
  • Will be at the DESC meeting this week; otherwise, focus on paper/proposal.

Andrés Alejandro Plazas Malagón —

  • Was off work last week.
  • Discussed the situation of DM-20069, and the confusing review request sent to John Parejko. Agreed that:
    • We will pull DM-20069 out of review for now.
    • Merlin Fisher-Levine will finish the defects code (ie, will do ticket DM-20068), have it reviewed, and merge that to master.
      • Noting that John Parejko has already reviewed a significant chunk of this code.
    • We will then rebase DM-20069 against the new master, and ask for a review of that rebased branch.
  • Meanwhile — while waiting for the defects code to be reviewed and merged — Andrés will keep working on the PTC code extensions suggested by the Pierres (DM-20070).
