Feb | - Execute small scale test (Unknown User (aguyonnet)).
- This test is described by
DM-13401

STATUS
.
- This will demonstrate the current state state of development and provide input for upcoming milestones.
|
Mar | - Deliver design documentation (Unknown User (aguyonnet)).
- This is an update to LDM-151, or a completed version of Unknown User (aguyonnet)'s “requirements” document, which will describe the complete set of algorithms which will be delivered in August.
- Deliver algorithmic test specification (Robert Lupton).
- This will take the form of an update to LDM-534, or some new testing specification (see discussion on
DM-11471
-

STATUS
) which will describe the complete set of tests which will be used to verify the algorithmic components of the pipeline.
- These tests may rely on simulated data which will be provided by Chris Stubbs.
|
Apr | - If our upcoming large scale tests require data (and particularly if they require new observations), we have to be acquiring it on this timescale.
- By this stage, we should have some notched filter data taken on the CTIO0m9 (Chris Stubbs).
|
May | - Execute large scale test #1.
- We will execute some subset of the algorithmic test specification as a progress check.
- Assessment of Gaia DR2 for use in providing spectral standards (LDM-151 §4.3.19).
- We may be able to work with a French group (Nicolas Regnault?) on this; Robert Lupton will initiate discussion with them at the February 2018 DESC meeting.

Aug | - Execute large scale test #2.
- Demonstrate the successful operation of all pipeline algorithms (ie, take dispersed images, generate atmospheric transmission curve), not (necessarily) running within the DM stack.
- In other words, this can be a lashed together set of scripts, but have to process realistic data and demonstrate that the algorithmic content is correct.

|
Oct | - Deliver operational, tested pipeline scripts for conversion to DM standards (“stackification“)
- These scripts should be scientifically and algorithmically complete and will have passed the August test case described above, but may not follow DM's coding, data access, etc conventions.
- Further algorithmic refinement may occur

Jan | - Execute large scale test #3.
- The algorithmic components of this test will be as per #2 (with any failures seen in that test now addressed).
- This test will be run at the LSST Data Facility, using regular process execution middleware, and will demonstrate full compliance with DM stack and coding conventions.
