  • Templates were never provided by the Project Office, so I (John Swinbank) imagine that this didn't actually happen.
  • Do we know the plan?
• Scope options under consideration this week:
  • Descopes:
    
    • DM4 (10% less hardware for DR1) — Kian-Tat Lim any update — this looks dangerous.
    • DM5 (reduce development and integration HW) — Margaret Gelman, Unknown User (mbutler)
    • Fritz Mueller mentioned commercial DB — do we add an option ?
  • Upscopes:
    • Modified DM3-U — Crowded fields with ZI and CS — Wil O'Mullane has reduced cost.
    • DM2-U — all raw data on Disk and DM6-U Keep Procesed Images on disk — Margaret Gelman and Unknown User (mbutler)
  • Several upscopes to study — should we do something?
    
    • Develop Additional Software for Special Programs (DM5-U)
    • Develop MOPS Algorithms that do not Need Pair Observations (DM7-U)
    • Additional Level 3 Hardware Resources (DM8-U)

• Developed a way forward for the EPO team to play with HSC data.
• Useful discussions with Trey on whether they can use something like Firefly.
  • Alternatives being Aladin Lite or similar.
• Intending to use notebooks for education & some advanced non-edu users; most non-edu users will have a more passive experience via the portal.
• Need some specialized HiPS generation, details TBD.
  • Both compute and storage are likely to be relatively small.
• Kian-Tat Lim & Unknown User (bemmons) are charged with updating ICDs.
• EPO now have commissioning milestones.
