Service notification | Discussion of notification flow-down for hardware and system downtime. With the current heterogeneous collection of services, end users are not necessarily aware of the connection between systems (e.g., Nebula) and services that run on those systems (e.g., Jenkins). Complete service mapping tree is under development at NCSA to capture this; the target is more than just development systems. With consolidation of services onto a single cluster (kubernetes) this is expected to be less of an issue for developers in the near future. Project Input into scheduling of maintenance should be coordinated through the service manager. He attends meetings where upgrades are discussed internatlly, and can involve people as appropriate. | |
