Agenda
- Current status of - DM-12733Getting issue details... STATUS .
- AuxTel pipeline.
- Should arrive at a timeline for making progress on this.
- Tech note DMTN-097.
- Atmospheric characterization.
- Most recently: comparing water vapour from SNFactory with MERRA-2.
- Last week's Bootcamp – any feedback?
- Discussed at today's Princeton Monday meeting; Andrés Alejandro Plazas Malagón found it a useful exercise for both getting started and meeting new contacts.
Meeting Notes
- Before Merlin Fisher-Levine's vacation, he was entirely focusing on Bootcamp prep.
- Not just Bootcamp prep, but also fixing up parts of obs_lsstCam.
- We don't know what the current status of the obs_lsstCam review is; John Swinbank should chase that.
- Coming up this week for Merlin Fisher-Levine:
- Writing the first spectral extraction code for AuxTel.
- Has data, and it's usable with obs_lsstCam.
- DM-15756 has expanded to cover two issues; one is done, but needs review, the other (cross-correlation) still takes a bit of work.
- Agreed this is top priority.
- Writing the first spectral extraction code for AuxTel.
- Unknown User (aguyonnet) finished work on 3D extraction from MERRA2. There are slides; he will (hopefully) attach them here.
- Good match on barometric pressure, but a gradient that is not yet understood.
- Water vapour ok.
- As are aerosols.
- Now able to compare atmospheric transmission between MERRA2 and SNFactory; getting good agreement.
- Coming next:
- Do the analysis on the LSST site; already in progress by people within DESC who have promising results but Unknown User (aguyonnet)is not convinced yet.
- Corrections to 3D extraction based on mass mixing ratio, humidity.
- Report on MERRA-2/SNFactory comparison to the SNFactory team.
- Unknown User (aguyonnet) will make some Jira tickets to describe the above.
- DMTN-097:
- Working on a DESC update for this; nothing new on the DM side.
- Andrés Alejandro Plazas Malagón discussed with folks at the bootcamp a liaison role with the Camera.
