CatSim and Sky model

  • New interface for opsim outputs (sqlite + new db format)
  • Validation on phosim/catsim SED normalization & magnitudes
  • Use new interface to implement realistic (sky background) noise in GalSim 
  • Refactor photometry code in catsim (make sure vectorized)
  • Implement realistic noise in photometry mixin
  • Rework variability model & interaction with catsim

 

Peter:

  • Review ESO papers and out current data.  Present plan for sky model (1 wk)
  • Review Opsim data structure needs for full-sky calculations (1 wk)
  • Develop modules to output SED for each sky component (moon, upper atm, lower atm, etc) (4 wk)
  • Compare SED models to all-sky camera observations. (1 wk)
