DM-1056 - Getting issue details... STATUS

• Robert: Should probably distribute DS9 for convenience.
• Xiuqin: Most people should have it or can get it easily; don't take on responsibility for distribution.
• Mario: Against banning distribution of optional packages.
  • Packages not under lsst_distrib are not really under the stack.
  • So no need for another server.
• Modify policy to allow (but not mandate) distribution of optional packages as long as someone in DM is using it and will own and maintain it.  Mechanism for claiming ownership to be determined.

DM-934 - Getting issue details... STATUS ; with further updates, can this be un-recommended?

• Recommend not using super unless you really know what you're doing (e.g. in limited, well-understood multiple inheritance hierarchies).

How legalistic should the SAT be?

• Should the SAT be approving/recommending fixed, exact texts and rules? Or just policies and statements of direction?
• Frossie: Don't be very legalistic; trust people's judgement.
• Gregory: Jeff needs to set expectations.
• We do need to make sure that we record decisions adequately including rationale.

DM-35 - Getting issue details... STATUS Alert Generation and Distribution

• SAT members should look at these at least cursorily for major errors.
• Organize a face-to-face at/around AAS?

Data Release Production Overview

• Looking at OpenStack cluster, may need some assistance with configuration and use cases.
• Will discuss offline with Frossie and Xiuqin.
