oracle RFC; (We are dropping oracle going forward and only using postgres
GPFS problem has been found. Bug! Vendor is fixing it and it's in their firmware, so they need to give us new code. We are hoping for code before maintenance with the procedure of how to apply it. Stay tuned for impact on that one.
Hsin-Fang Chiang wants to know if verification cluster can run docker containers. <mbutler> doesn't have a clue... so we need to ask. MAYBE condor can?
NTS has a few problems:
new disk drives are needed and were ordered. mbutler to follow up to where those are.
EFD is going through NFS; changing so that it uses local disks, but it needs to rotate logs faster becasue disks are small
Procurement for local rack switches at LDF, Bro infrastructure re-invest, Oracle for 2019.
disk drives on local BDC systems are SRM and are very slow for the applications being run on them. replacing with other disks drives (commissioning cluster systems have extra faster drives)
summit opening up in July: not so sure, but maybe. That is a rumor right now
It's snowing on the summit, but it's not bad. 8cm (3" for us non-metric americans)
