  1. We are moving forward with Next All-Hand meeting on Thursday 8 April at 9:00 PDT. Victor will be working with Ranpal, Sandrine, and Steve, as well as many other on putting together the agenda and charts.
    1. Replan update will be a big part of this
  2. Project Schedule messaging: Schedule charts shared a couple week ago represent the current picture. Victor  has a slight update to clarify the schedule contingency and we will present to Project at all-hands meeting.
  3. Discussion of broad community message (Timing, terminology, coordination with Agencies and Ops)
    1. While we have early end of construction community understand start of operations better
    2. Ops has not changed message from Oct 2023 start. Need to agree message between construction and ops. This is now not earlier than Oct 2023.
  4. Camera Refrigeration controllers were ready to ship end of last week - another problem found over weekend, should be crated today, shipping tomorrow.
  5. No current shipping in progress so no impact from Suez blockage.
    1. Our best wishes to keeping the Panama canal operational, though!

Wil O'Mullane Cristián Silva Yusra AlSayyad Frossie Economou had a short meeting with Victor/Kevin Long last wednsday:

  • Result of the Change - telescope completion 15 months delay. Early completion 1 Aug 2023. (Originaly May 6 2022)

  • some DM l2 milestones need adjusting (wrong logic),

  • we may need to check ops ramps (i.e. P6 shows us at same level while we have more FTE on OPS).

Our (construction) story should be something like: With the delay DM has to maintain and keep everything upto date, AuxTel is getting a lot more care than was originally planned, that and other things are burning down risks for DM as we transition to operations. Additionally COVID has introduced an 11% ineficiency original planning. Of course we are also supporting preoperations and the USDF spin up but that is a different story. 

  • We will acknowledge IT as part of DM, Cristian will be TCAM for a new WBS line (as well as LHN).
    • within that we will acknowledge some shift of scope within DM WBS
    • (some) Unused hardware budget (thanks Michelle) will be used to fund it
      • LCR will be required
    • Cristián will join DMLT and be added to DM org chart

Discussion with Robert Lupton and others about how to represent the AuxTel work's causes and benefits - risk reduction?  understanding that certain on-summit issues are more complex than expected? transfer of learning experience from (e.g.) ComCam work to AuxTel work because of the long period with only AuxTel available?
