- Support the use of DataLink by providing simple DALI-style URLs to perform what may be complex back-end queries
Background and strategic fit
Examples of expected applications - provide DataLink-compatible DALI query URLs for:
- Obtaining the time series for a single object - this converts to a TAP query against the ForcedSource (or DIASource, or whatever is appropriate) object
- Obtaining provenance-related information, e.g., all the input images for a coadd
The microservice in some cases could be as simple as a URL-rewriter; in other cases it may need to do a little real work. The framework should support both possibilities.
