CIlogon for chile | Ask Jim Basney about replicas. – there is replicas at NICS, if NCSA ever goes down, but there isn't one in Chile. They are very familiar with AWS, and will look into running a replica in South American region AWS environment and see how much that would cost to run..etc. | |
| Next steps for PDAC upgrade | Fritz and Xiuqin are working through the updates. What are the next steps for K8 common integration. Dax to K8 is ongoing. Qserv to K8 later in September. Discussion of LSP at LSST2018. | |
| Admin reboot of DAX01 | need to reboot DAX01 system to get networking going. Jake and Kenny will coordinate the reboot time frame. | |
| Federation of IDM in Sept | The federation of the IDM environment for CIlogon is moving forward. (updated in 9/5/2018). Beyond the develoeprs of the service, the CIlogon developers and mgmt are testing out the service. | |
| LDAP profile | The ldap profile information work continues and will be completed in Novemeber time frame. | |
| CILogon | All systems have moved over to production CIlogon service, and no longer using test cilogon service. | |
| Duo tokens | Duo tokens have been sent to a few users. A total of 5 so far have been sent. | |
| Storage data from SLAC | There is a large amount of data from SLAC devices that requires a backup at NCSA. Not sure if this all needs to go to the DBB or eventually the data needs to be in DBB. The data coudl be Rsynced to NCSA. NCSA would like to treat this data like a release because the data at SLAC is changed. Not new files. This could start out small in the order of 200TB but has the potential to grow to 1PB in size. That kind of size would need to be added to the growth for the annual provisioning. There are 5 different "filesets" that are being looked at to move to NCSA so that it can be viewed in the LSP. The data needs to be looked at for it's value BEFORE it's transferred to NCSA. A separate area outside of the DBB will need to be provided by NCSA, and a simple ingest for Butler G2 is needed at NCSA so that it's accessible to the LSP. NCSA will set up a rsync of some sort and test out this process with 1 of the datasets and see how it goes. This will not be backed up at NCSA since this is the "backup" copy, and there is already a geographical distributed copy of the data. | |
