Turn on secrets scanning in github? Richard Dubois / Kian-Tat Lim 

  • GitHub is capable of scanning for secrets, we just need to enable it for lsst repo owners
  • Wil O'Mullane to check with Andy to turn on GitHub secrets scanning  


Plans/timing for AuxTel Alerts? (Disambiguate Prompt and Alert)

Prompt Processing = the framework that runs in ~real time

Alert Production = the payload that runs SFM + diffim + alert distribution

  • We are close to running SFM with AuxTel, should be ready for the next run
  • Gregory Dubois-Felsmann : need to practice AP in a data preview style run
    • We will need AP before DRP, even if we are not actually producing alerts
    • Eric Bellm early science plan includes some very early test alerts in the beginning of Operations
  • Eric Bellm Write technote describing Early Science Alert distribution plan

  • Provenance discussion:
    • WOM: save minimum provenance now, then continue work on server-client butler. Come back to full provenance later.
  • YA:  Resurrect the Priority tag on tickets with clearly communicated meaning for operations and dm summit support
    • Frossie Economou Priority tags are rarely used correctly, work that blocks data processing (and sending alerts) should be Urgent as well, not just blocks collecting data.
    • Kian-Tat Lim During commissioning the processing is the most important part, support expanding usage of Urgent to blocking processing and analysis
  • YA: Colin and I visiting Fermilab next week. If there are unfilled ops work in your corner of DM that we haven't talked about yet, let me know before I go. 
    • Tim Jenness Need an assistant Data Engineer to work with Gregory
  • GPDF: Lossy compression of PVIs. The RFC is approved, CCB approved, just need to Adopt and write LCR.
