Project Updates
  • JSR responses - DM done
  • Office space Tucson - who needs offices now - we should remove unused space. It  went up 21% in Tucson. Chile 41% though this is partly understanding the new spaces in Chile.
    • could have shared offices if we are mainly WFH. "hoteling", Steve says its not been very successful elsewhere.
    • We are also unclear on continuity into operations.
    • Victor - we just want to be careful and use what we need (if someone has left we should not  keep an empty office)
    • January there should be another survey on staff needs.
  • Discretionary funds mainly comes from LSSTCorp. Got 60% this year. Ops it looks like we have nothing.
  • NSB approval of funding that would be required to fund rebaseline .. no official paperwork but apparently the agencies are expected to receive it.
    • now the auditors will be looking.
    • SFR3 for the new milestones we may get in January.
    • Frossie - mismatch between story points(correct) and timecard not. Kevin - individuals can do corrective entry - Veronica this fiscal year yes they can but not routinely.
  • KevinR .. camera install work - need touch points along the camera and need SLAC people involved in a change int he way the camera is installed.
    • e.g. guide rods may go...
    • march 7 - ComCam on TMA - which should have been the same thing but they may not be exactly the same now.
    • after that may modify procedure again
    • End Feb - Camera will be final.
  • Task force for stable power on mountain formed and started.. https://sitcomtn-024.lsst.io/
    • also need to communicate well with the rest of the team
  • SPIE .. need to get moving (me) SPIE Conference in Montréal, Meeting: 17 July – 22 July 2022
  • COVID meeting
    • hoteling at STSCI .. we may not follow the same in Tucson
    • Omicron could lead to a lot of isolations . ChuckG says we need to wait and see ..
power out
Tonight in Tucson 8pm to midnight (MST) .. no power.

Next DMLT

Jan 17 - happens to be MLK day .. some institutes off so put off to Jan 21?

Project updates can be posted on Camelot.

Milestone LCR

Its time to do the Jumbo milestone LCR and start the new year with a better baseline.

Lets try to put it all here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LbJBg3thTHkcSMXkdUs1nhrRRKlee1cvPasr0XArghM/edit?usp=sharing

DMTN-158 has been updated with Nov data. It has the rebaseline dates in but the baseline project dates ar enot updated. (SFR3 still pending). You can see all the milestones here (for linkage):https://github.com/lsst-dm/milestones/blob/main/data/pmcs/202111-ME.xls

Best is to find a driving milestone in project - many of our milestones are driving but not driven by project milestones so they will not move when the new dates arrive ..
