Project Updates
  • Review in October 4 days - Sept for JSR 3 days . Trying to reuse re-baseline as much as possible - JSR compressed:
    • 1 hour each subsystem - so 1 hour for DM
      • first 15min should be summary which can be used in
      • probably all in parallel - absolutely in parallel with Management session.
        • May need Frossie to cover the management session.
      • 2 experts for DM expected.
    • DOE session - Vincent uncertain what to present where.
    • Second day is technical management split.
      • tech is all SITCOM - but assume we will need to present some DM material there i.e. our plan and our verification plan.
      • Management seems EPO and Camera focus.
    • Some details discussed for T&S and EPO.
    • Day 3 followup .
      • succession planning small group (Roodman, Kahn, Krabbendam, Riot, O'Mullane)
    • Should know JSR reviewers today/tomorrow.
      • Still no charge.
    • JDR - Victor will cover subsystems in plenary briefly since we have an hour each.
      • in JSR - each subsystem manager needs to give the 15 min overview.
  • Veronica - need new process for DDF (discretionary) funding (Daniel is CAM still as the cash comes from LSST Corp) Victor should upload an approval (or admin should).
  • Veronica - Linked-In Learning license expiring. 10 used recently - not cost effective.
    • Should we drop it?
    • we also have litmos: that has been subscribed.
    • Which subsystem? Chuck thinks it's driver safety. NOIRLab is moving to Safetyplus WEB.
  • Jeff asks if we get another Costpoint/Deltek  training... nothing clear on that.
  • Jeff - SKF on mountain in 3 weeks we should be able to move the TMA by hand.
  • Chuck Claver - System Analyst Bo Xin will leave Sept to GMT.

Level 2 Milestones

See also LSST Verification & Validation Documentation and docsteady.lsst.io.

Extensive discussion of LDM-GEN3 ( DM-27336 - Getting issue details... STATUS ). The concern is that it's currently written as a level 2 milestone that is solely relating to middleware deliveries. It was noted that we do not have a test plan that involves pipelines also being involved in declaring that gen2 is no longer needed. Decision was made for Yusra AlSayyad to expand the test plan to include side-by-side comparison of science outputs of DRP-level pipeline with gen2 and gen3.
