DMLT Meeting Goals

  • Weekly meeting to keep the DM leadership team coordinated, informed, and in agreement on the vision, priorities, and challenges facing DM construction, including surfacing and resolving issues and ambiguities needing our attention. The goal of this meeting is to provide information and decisions that help each one of us better direct our own (or our team's) activities.

Project updates

Wil O'Mullane

  • TMA and DOME schedules slipping - recovery difficult.
    • Chuck/Sandrine have been working on the schedule for integration, K. Long putting it all together.
    • Victor will be clearing his schedule next week and work on the schedule including potential integration descopes.
    • Aim to have this done in ~1 month, to enable prep for...
  • Summer review season.
    • Charge will be similar to last year, but less wordy.
    • Minimizing break-out sessions; last year's ctte were unhappy when they were told that the right people to discuss some issue were in other sessions. (But there will still be some.)
    • Top priority will be the revised AIV schedule, as above.
  • Open Data Framework.
    • Still not clear if agency announcements will be made before LSST@Asia meeting.
    • But there are intensive ongoing discussions and we expect news any time now.
  • Name change.
    • Some acknowledgement of the desire to keep the LSST name.
    • Worries about how quickly word to the project mailing list went public; may be an audit of this.
  • Changes to Chilean IT group coming up — watch for an e-mail from Victor any minute.
