DMLT Meeting Goals

  • Weekly meeting to keep the DM leadership team coordinated, informed, and in agreement on the vision, priorities, and challenges facing DM construction, including surfacing and resolving issues and ambiguities needing our attention. The goal of this meeting is to provide information and decisions that help each one of us better direct our own (or our team's) activities.

Discussion Items

Guidelines: Propose items in line with the meeting rationale (see above); include as much information in the agenda notes; summarize, don't go into details while on the call; maximize time available for discussion.

Transformed EFD schemaKian-Tat Lim
  • Too early to know what the final schema will look like.
  • Kian-Tat Lim proposes that we develop categories of telemetry and ways of handling those categories.
    • Spec for the ETL is that it be able to apply this logic.
    • There will be a specific default transformation.

Zooniverse

Useful discussions with Chris Lintott and the EPO team last week (Kenny Lo from  DAX, Simon Krughoff, Wil O'Mullane). Use science platform to identify interesting objects, ship subset (like 100) for preliminary testing in Zooniverse (restricted acccess). Then ship full set (batched and with metadata removed) for full project on release. Transfer pushed from science platform by Data Rights Holder. Still need to discuss data rights
