Kian-tat

  • Steve is on Vacation
  • Greg is making progress. His activities are detailed in: Middleware Meeting Notes 2014-06-10
  • K-T has been in all-day meetings 6/9- 6/10 with JeffK, DonP, GregD-F, and MarioJ. K-T is also cleaning up loose ends prior to his vacation starting 6/12.

Jacek

  • Jacek was away all last week at the XLDB Meeting in Rio
  • The group is on-time; they are working on a few big tickets including RefMatch and Migrating Qserv to the new XLDB client. That will probably take another week or so to get these two things done.
  • The group is experimenting with daily meetings. Every day at 4pm they have a 1 hour hangout where they just get together without any agenda or any official meeting scheduled, He thinks this works nicely but they need more time to see.
  • No blockers

Jim

  • The team finished planning the new sprint and started it 6/10.
    • This will just be Perry and Jim since Yusra is back to being just a grad student. They left her one issue to work on slowly but they are not tracking it as part of this sprint. It's a low prioirity item and they don't know when she'll be able to get to it.
  • The sprint is not that ambitious but it reflects how much time they actually have. They do hope at the end of it to be able to start using the new meas_base everywhere where they had been using meas_algorithms. That's the concrete goal this month.
  • KT: Are you blocked on any of the SAT stuff or the RFCs?
  • JB:No. Well... the Exception issue he would like to get moving on that in the next few weeks. So he hasn't sensed a lot of disagreement.  If he can indeed find a way to make it work, he thinks that people will be happiest. It comes down to what trade-offs he actually has to make in the end. He doesn't think he'll have to make many bad ones but we'll see how that survives contact with  the code.

Andy

  • Not much to report since he was out the second half of last week.
  • The group intended to have a sprint planning session today but it was superceded by a  dry-run for the Cadence Workshop.
  • This week Andy plans on finishing his current sprint as well as setting up a couple of sessions for LSST 2014 on Transients and False Positive Rates.

Simon

  • Paul and Robert helped Dominique debug the astrometry.  He was able to get most chips (all but one per visit) to solve when he decreased the match log likelihood threshold.
    •  Paul says that's a bad thing to do.  Dominique has asked Dustin about it, but we have yet to hear back.
