February - Completed draft Rubin Observatory Network Verification Plan (including JIRA). March - Scheduled Rubin Observatory Networks Pre-Verification Review for May 18 - 19 April - Prepare for Rubin Observatory Networks Pre-Verification Review. Submit LSST Change Request to update LSE-78 Rubin Observatory Network Design (including Chilean, International, and US networks), and related milestones in PMCS. Complete LDM-732 Rubin Observatory Networks Pre-verification Baseline. May - Complete FY19, FY20 NET Reports and Technical Document June - Conduct and respond to actions from Rubin Observatory Networks Pre-Verification Review. Meet with GlobalNOC re VNOC support. Update on CONUS Networks | CONUS Networks, including ESnet:
Chilean/International Networks Update | Developments in La Serena and end-to-end service to NCSA for upcoming Auxiliary Telescope Traffic and general (internet, mail, voice) traffic: ComCAM is ready on bench in Base, data transfer during Ops Rehearsal #2 (week of June 1). Data volume average rate ComCAM images for 2 hours, 10 images per minute, 72MB per file (may be compressed down to 32MB), 9 files per image. Peak rate 30 images per minute for 10 minutes. So, peak is 72 MB/CCD * 9 CCDs/exposure *30 exposures/minute * 8 bits/byte * 1 minute/60 seconds = 2.592 Gbits/sec See IP address emails re Border Router changes, doing on Monday (Ron Harris , Renata Frez . Confirm end to end connection LS - NCSA by end of next week. Summit is still shut down. No date for when LATISS will be running again.
NCSA - CC-IN2P3 Networks update | Stuart McLellan | NCSA - CC- IN2P3 network: Unknown User (kollross) Requested IN2P3/GEANT/RENATER provide list of 5 VLANs to identify one to use. Stuart McLellan, Richard H-J working to provide map of links from their end.
