NET Action Items Status Update on ESnet agreement | Jeff Kantor | Reminder: Work on your items Monthly ESNet stakeholder meeting confirmed go ahead and the mechanism for transferring NSF MREFC funds to ESnet will be direct contract from AURA. B/W is 2 x 20 (not 2x40, was typo in last meeting) at beginning of FY20. B/W is 2x100 by beginning of FY21. Jeff Kantor produced a 3-page summary of plan and funding summary, available on request.
Network Design and End-to-End Test Plan and QoS planning | Working with Unknown User (rlambert) , Albert Astudillo to bring back VLANs and perfSonar node in La Serena, reconnect to MadDash. 4 x 10 Gbps AURA physical connections are ready, need to finish connecting in switch to pass data to AmLight. Should be done this week. 3 x 10 G go from LS to POP in Santiago, 1 x 10 via REUNA office. May use 1 of 3 for google test data transfer. Also, tested NCSA network monitoring and found that some traffic is going via 10G REUNA office, and some via 4G. Might be a weighting problem in BGP setup.
Discussion Topics | LSST Network SC18 Demonstration: Press releases (EXISTING ACTION ITEMS) FIU will do one, REUNA has drafted one. Technical report (EXISTING ACTION ITEMS) Target same level of detail/content as 2017 demonstration report. Unlike 2017 where we just used what was available, 2018 we purchased equipment for future test beds. We should describe hardware in more detail. More lessons learned should be included, and provide more details on configuration in confluence pages for reuse in future, and link to technical document. LSST Network Engineering Meeting April 18, 2019 Santiago (REUNA conference room too small, working with ALMA and others to determine if we can hold meeting there.) Proposed Agenda:
Proposed Attendees: NET meeting (SAACC list is different and larger)
