Status update. Waiting on DTN and Corsa switch purchase to be delivered to La Serena, will be in place by September. Some equipment will go to LS, equipment to install in Level 3 will go to REUNA office.Unknown User (rlambert) will be in La Serena from 15 Aug 2018 - 04 Sep 2018, try to deliver by then so he can configure.

LSST Network SC18 Demonstration: Unknown User (kollross)

Jeff Kantor added information related to "outer demonstration" to visualize data transfer statistics and images.

D2D DTN will use fast disks and slow disks, fdt transfer. This moves data from DTN slow disk to DTN fast disk and transfers data over network to other DTN fast disk and then to slow disk. Can simply monitor (e.g. ls command or thumbnails on web page) arrival of files to fast disk and read from slow disk for image display.

Have all pieces of LS DTN in Miami, just need to assemble, configure, test, and ship. On track to deliver by end of September. Target week of 22 Oct 2018  to install and configure DTN in LS.

DAQ over DWDM Test: Jeff Kantor

Request from Mike Huffer to use AURA or LSST DWDM and 4km spare fiber for test of DAQ over DWDM/Fiber. Would like to do test before full implementation, installation of Base Data Center, possibly early 2019 in La Serena or Santiago. He would like to test up to 10 channels simultaneously, but will take what he can get. Can we support this?

Unknown User (rlambert) will be point of contact. Basic plan is to set up DAQ in Summit Computer room, 2 fibers over to caseta and over DWDM to LS. How much equipment is needed in LS? Jeff Kantor will send follow-up email.
