0845 | Discussion Topics | December Demonstration: Technical reports from Chile and International were merged into a draft report. This is now ready for final baseline. LSST internal LSST Community communications: Posted on website, distributed on social media, & included in current Digest. LSST key milestones relevant to Long-Haul Networks: Here is a list of key milestones for the project. We added a description the active links, equipment, bandwidths, and available services at each point for upcoming integration and commissioning reviews. Merged version is attached: 20180524 Month End Baseline Milestones for LHN.xlsx We will discuss if we should try to adjust these for an end-to-end capability for each milestone. (See Jeronimo action below). After that, Jeff Kantor would like to see a diagram(s) for each milestone to go with the table. This is to support verification/validation and commissioning reviews. Plan for next test/demonstration: Jeff Kantor The LSST Project Plan has a milestone for this year to demonstrate a 100 Gbps over the long-haul networks. There is an existing action to define the demonstration and also there have been recent discussions about an SC demonstration which might serve both purposes. AURA Link: Jeff Kantor , Julio Ibarra, Unknown User (rlambert), Chris Smith, Jeronimo Bezerra starting discussions on extending/leveraging AURA 40 Gb link. No progress to report. Site Redundancy in Santiago: See document Julio Ibarra circulated examining ways to get site redundancy in Santiago. Julio Ibarra would like to develop MOA that can be baselined so that we all agree to plan. Existing action item. | |
